Gold Rush

Here is a Niner, Week 3, update.

SF vs DET - 31-13(W)

We started the season off a little shaky with an opening day loss. Gradually, we are improving week after week. Now we are on a two game winning streak and hoping to keep the Gold Rush moving. The defense is getting stronger, and the offensive is improving. Frank Gore will keep things rollin!

The Quilt

Gym Class Heroes is atop of my favorite band list. If you don't know about Gym Class Heroes, it's safe to crawl from behind that rock. There old stuff is dope, there new stuff is dope. So go get cultured...

They just released their latest album The Quilt. Justly titled the quilt, it has all different styles woven into their music. It's hip hop, rock, and R&B. It has a little something for everybody.

My favorite track on the album is the Cookie Jar, which I'm sure will hit the radio quick and be a for sure hit. It's featuring The American Dream. There is also a track produced by Cool and Dre and features Busta Rhymes. So for those Busta fans, he is back, and has a brand new contract. So look out for him soon!

Dear Summer...

Dear Summer,

I am going to miss you, cause we go together like Nike Airs and SB's. I got some Supras and new blazers with the double laces. I had some secret fun under the sun, but its a secret and tellin it would be no fun. A reality becomes a dream, and all I can do now is daydream. There is nothing like the hot weather and that summer breeze. If I could make it summer all year round I would, but when we are reunited it will feel so good. You come and go before you know it and then its back to rakin and leave blowin. The time flies by without you knowin, thinking about the summer has got me goin. It never seems like there is enough time. Now Ill just sit back and listen to Will Smith and Jazzy Jeff kick old school ryhmes and remember the summertime.

San Francisco 49ers

The NFL season is fast approaching. The preason is already underway. Finally, I am excited. Just picked up the new Madden 09. It looks pretty good. Interested to see all the new features. I owe my friend an ass kicking online a little later. My team is rated pretty well on there. We should have a good season ahead of us. I will let you know how that goes...

I am and have always been a big 49ers fan. We been down but not out for a while now. I am expecting big things, even though everyone is making fun of me again. They will see. Oh, they will see. The took it to the Packers yesterday, 34-6. Sheesh, LOL!!! Who's decision was it to trade a future Hall of Fame quarterback, man...that as bright. Anyhow, take a look at the Niners shine. The Call of Duty

The Call of Duty...more than a game. It's an addiction. For those of you that own the game, you know what I'm talking about, LOL!

Since the game's release back in November of last year, its popularity has only grown. If you own a Playstation 3, Call of Duty 4 is a must have, without question.

It is a beautifully rendered game, very realistic and very tantalizing to the eyes. Once you play this game, every other game will look like, ehh.

Side effects may include dry eyes, loss of sleep, tired days at work, call of duty vision, adrenaline increase, and arguments with your girlfriend.

Why so serious?!

If you haven't already gone to see The Dark Knight, you definately need to get off that couch and get into a movie seat. I knew that it was going to be good. But it was better than I thought. It definitely exceeded my expectations. Though in was a little long. People were on the edge of their seats wondering is it over now, then something else happen

Past actors playing Batman have been very dissappointing. Who is going to believe that George Clooney is the Dark Knight, LOL! Christian Bale, as always played a great Batman. The only other good Batman before him was Micheal Keaton, still my favorite Batman.

The definite highlight was Heath Ledger. I was a skeptic when i first heard he was playing the Joker long before the movie started filming. I just never thought as him being the Joker. I always thought someone like Johnny Depp. Nonetheless he did a phenominal job.

He potrayed the Joker as demented and as psychotic as possible. From the voice, to the laugh, and the mannerisms, the Joker was truly brought to life. He played the part so well it was scary. Im sure he will be claiming an oscar for this performance.

Ofcourse you still have to comapare him to Jack Nicholson, who first played the Joker in the orignial movie. They were very different in their approach. The original movie was not as dark, so Jack potrayed the Joker as best he could. He also stole the screen when he was the Joker.

This movie was much darker, so Heath was able to really unleash the true Joker. He definitley brought the Joker to life. You would have thought he was really the Joker.

Before, the first Batman, and maybe the second one, were the only movies worth watching. But now after the first new movie, and now The Dark Knight, Batman has definitely been revived. Batman is supposed to be very dark, and they stuck to it this time. You are truly in for an experience.

So go and see the movie and be amazed! As Jack's Joker would say, turn that frown upside down! New and improved...Ssssssmiiily, hehehehehe!!!

After this many years, Madonna is still on top of her game. Don't act like you don't like her, haha. I know you still have that song with Justin Timberlake stuck in your head.

Anyhow, I was in the gym the other day, caught a glimpse of her new song featuring Skateboard P. I thought it was pretty cool. I was on the treadmill btw, keepin it sexy. Who else better, than Madonna to illustrate sexy!

Perfection

I was out in LA a month or so ago. I was with a friend, and she was going to see Dr. Rey. She was going to have a surgery done. So being a good friend, I went with her for support. Plus, I would be in LA, and I had never been to sunny California until then.

He was a world famous doctor, he is on television, and he is very successful. I didn't know what to expect when I met him. It was surgery day, and I see him walking around with his camera very excited. After waiting for some time, the nurse came to get my friend. A very nice lady from Georgia. She commented on my manners, she knew I wasn't from LA. So people on the west coast, um...get some home training. Good manners go a long way.

Back to the story, lol. So we get back to the pre-op area. He goes through the details about what is going to happen and the rules to recovery afterwards. His rules were very strict, but understandable when someone is going into surgery. So I listened attentively. Then he said something that clicked in my brain. At that moment I suddenly felt enlightened.

It was the obvious, but often it goes unsaid. He said nothing is perfect. There are no perfect days, there is no perfect weather, there is no perfect face, there is no perfect relationship, there is no perfect marriage, and so on. Because there is no perfect, you cannot expect perfect, just expect better. If you go into a marriage expecting something you will end up divorced. If you go into a marriage expecting nothing you will do just fine.

I immediately then began to change how I look at my own relationship. When you are with someone for a while you expect certain things, you want your relationship to be perfect. You want your partner to be perfect. When things don't go as expected, you are unhappy, unsatisfied, or angry. That is because you have made the mistake of expecting perfect. Once you finally realize this is not possible, you will reach a certain feeling of emotional control. This will allow you to be more successful in your relationship.

No one is perfect. That is an unescapable fact. People lie and cheat, people do things behind each others backs. Some not as much, and some more than others. These truths are enevitable and can not be avoided. So now I try to hold that attitude. Do not expect anything, do not expect perfect, because you will be dissappointed.

There is no perfect, only better...

I found this site by chance one night when I was talking with some friends about old cartoons and how cartoons today, just don't measure up.

My favorite cartoon was definitely the Transformers, probably still the best cartoon ever. I don't think I will ever be tired of it.

Was a little disappointed in the new movie's depiction of them. They could have tried a little harder in making the Transformers look a little more authentic. Micheal Bay knows nothing about transformers. Nonetheless, happy to see they are making anther one. What up Shia?! Try to stay out of Walgreens, lol! I'm your worst nightmare, that's funny, lol!

But there were many other cartoons back then as well. Back then, lol...I guess I'm not that old. Old enough I suppose. I loved the thundercats and Voltron. I heard they are also going to be reamaking Voltorn and G.I. Joe. So all you retro junkies and 90's babies stay on the up and up. Stay informed! I know you're lazy, so I will let you know when I know.

Autobots roll out, Decepticons retreat, yo Joe, cobra la la la la, Thundercats hooooooooooo, and I'll form the head. Just some cartoon jibirish, haha. Just remeber...

HANCOCK!

There have been a lot of mixed reviews. People told me, its gonna be bad, don't go see that. But its Will Smith, and if he is in it, I am seein it. So hears my breief film reveiw.

To me, the movie was great! I have already seen it and plan to see it again. It has some good action scenes, but it was actually a pretty funny movie. Will Smith and Jason Bateman are hilarious. You might be suprised by some of the things that come out of their mouths in just a PG-13 rated movie. They definitely pushed it to the limit!

Anyhow, it gets two thumbs up from me. I would give it more, but I only have two. Don't listen to the movie critics. What do they know anyhow, haha. I'm sure you take my word for it over a few old men in some office somewhere. Go see it, be entertained, and have some good laughs.

Everyone wants to get rid of their debts and get the creditors of their back. When you make that phone call to cancel your card, its almost as if you have personally hurt the customer service representative. They sound sad and tell you how they hope you choose to do business with them again. LOL, yeah right...why do you think I'm closing my account.

So getting to how they got me...

I closed my account and it was at $0.00. I spoke to a live person, and she assured me this was true, so I closed my account. A few weeks later I get a bill for $8.47. This is so called finance fee, that was charged after my account was closed. After my account was closed! So I promptly called, and they were fighting for them dollars. Had me on the phone for some chump change.

I could have paid it, it wasn't much...you already know it was the principal of the matter. He tells me it doesn't matter, blah, blah, and how I have to pay. I immediately ask to speak to a manger and he tells me to hold. Not even five seconds later, he clicks back on and says we have adjusted the account...LOL. Com'n dude, why even have wasted that time. Rediculous, ludicrous, and any other -ous word you can think to describe it. So if you have some bs charges on your account, go ahead and tell'em you want to speak to their manager!
